The Guinness International Champions Cup will come to Washington, DC on Tuesday, 29 July 2014 to present a match between Manchester United and Inter Milan at the FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins. New signings Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw will join Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and others, for the third game under Louis van Gaal’s leadership. Maryland to Host ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
Between Wednesday, 17 September and Sunday, 21 September 2014, the International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Championships will visit McHenry, Maryland. Over 600 Olympic level athletes from 35 countries will compete at the impressive Adventure Sports Center International, the world’s only mountaintop white water course. The event has only visited the US once previously.
The World Road Cycling Championships to Speed through Virginia
More than 1500 of the world’s top cyclists, from 75 different countries, will visit Richmond, Virginia, to compete in a variety of circuits and races for both individuals and teams as part of the World Road Cycling Championships 2015(19-27 September 2015). Considered a pinnacle-cycling event, this nine-day affair will also offer spectators numerous festivals, concerts and other attractions.
