World Travel Market with Jenni
Another World Travel Market had flown by, and the buzz phrase this year was definitely ‘have you seen the poppies?’ as our clients ensured they took the time to visit the Tower of London while they were in town. The KBC team found ourselves not only travel experts, but also historians as we explained the significance of the poppy in our commemorations and the idea behind the poignant and moving display.
Now we look back on another busy four (actually five) days with our colleagues from The Azores, Calvia, the Florida Keys & Key West, Leisure Pass Group, Discover New England, Rocky Mountain International and US Travel. Countless meetings with the trade and media, a taste of Louisiana at the BGTW annual dinner, a Smuttynose or two (it’s a beer from New Hampshire!), delayed flights, lost luggage, coping with the London traffic (we are from the country), a giant birthday cake and a kitesurfing board. What will next year bring?
All that remains is the debate over the profitability of the Thursday of the show … oh and the hours of follow-up!
