BH Mallorca Resort to Open Following €15million Renovation and Promises a Higher Quality 18-30 Holiday Experience

The new BH Mallorca hotel will open on 30 April 2015 following a €15million renovation of the previous Mallorca Rocks property. Following a series of focus groups, Cursach Hotels are developing the property to offer a more comprehensive resort experience and promises a ‘better lifestyle holiday’ for the 18-30 market.

The 656 three-star apartments will undergo a complete transformation, upgrading to four-star suites, complete with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and flat screen TV. The suites will be furnished in a modern, fresh style, offering spacious and quality accommodation, sleeping four adults.

BH Mallorca guests will now have more to do during the day as all rates are inclusive of entrance to the World’s first over 18s waterpark, tickets to open air festival gigs showcasing the World’s best DJs (2 June – 17 September), a daytime luxury Beach Club, and all inclusive food from 11 a.m. to 8.p.m.

BH Mallorca has already secured partnerships with Jet2, TUI and Thomas Cook, and is in negotiations with other operators. May 2015 sales for the resort are already strong, a month that is usually classed as ‘low season’, showing that the new Mallorca experience is already making its mark.

Palmanova-Magaluf Hotel Association Launch Winter Activity Programme

The Palmanova-Magaluf Hotel Association has launched the exciting ‘Calvia, The European Winter’, a selection of programmes aiming to add authenticity and fun to holidaymakers’ Calvia experience.

From November to March, tourists can choose from a wide variety of cultural activities, including Mallorca wine tours, a sightseeing coach tour of the region and a number of guided walks. Those visitors looking for traditional souvenirs have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Paguera Market and Pollensa Craftsman’s Fair.

Stephen Roche Celebrates 20 years of Cycling Holidays in Calvia

In 2014, Irish cycling legend and Tour de France winner, Stephen Roche, began celebrating 20 years since the opening of his bike station in the Calvia region of Majorca; the first on the popular Balearic Island. Drawn to Majorca by the subtropical year-round climate, Roche chose Calvia as the site for his bike station due to its pivotal location, which offers access to major biking routes around the region.

Calvia – the Golfing Centre of Majorca

With 20 golf courses only a 20-minute drive away, the Calvia region of Majorca is a competitive and appealing destination for golfing enthusiasts. Visit Calvia Launches Two Hiking Routes for 2015

In 2015, Visit Calvia will launch two more hiking routes to its collection. The first new route, route 12, is called Na Burguesa Ruta de los Madroños and is a picturesque route, which takes in mountains and the sea, as visitors hike from the resort next to Portals Nous, before finishing the hike in the exclusive resort of Illetas. In the months of September to November, the fruits on the trees start to bloom making the route even more spectacular.

The second new route is the Na Burguesa Ruta de Bahía de Palma, where visitors can enjoy breathaking views of the bay of Palma and south west of Mallorca, starting in Palmanova, and not so far from Magaluf.

Calvia already offers an already established collection of routes, which include the GR221 internationally recognised ‘Dry Stone’ route from Es Capdella to Estellencs. This hike takes visitors through small towns, crossing the Galatzo estate (a magnificent ‘Possessio’ Manor House in the shadow of Puig Galatzo) and meandering through mountains and farmland, all the while uncovering fascinating Bronze Age archaeological sites and architecture.
