Southwestern Utah is known for its breathtaking red rock landscapes and unmatched scenery, which is why it was chosen as the dramatic setting for U.S. superstar Katy Perry’s Olympic anthem, Rise.
The video for Rise was shot in Snow Canyon State Park and Sand Hollow State Park, which are just two of Utah’s 43 state parks and ‘Mighty 5®’ national parks.
Visitors to Snow Canyon can explore the many red Navajo sandstone trails and dunes by horseback, foot or bike and camp in peaceful grounds surrounded by ancient lava flows. Seasonal nature programmes are offered so visitors can unearth the secrets of this spectacular park.
The 20,000 acre Sand Hollow is Utah’s newest state park and is one of the most popular locations in Utah for RV enthusiasts. Here visitors can swim, fish or enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the warm blue waters before riding the rolling waves of red sand dunes by dirt bike, 4-wheeler, or Dune Buggy.
