The city of brotherly love‘s most talked about restaurant, Bank & Bourbon, has opened at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, inside Philadelphia’s first modern skyscraper. The stylish restaurant offers a mix of traditional and American cuisine with a modern twist, paired with special liquors and cocktails which boast an innovative barrel-ageing process.
The barrel-ageing programme generates a diverse collection of spirits and cocktails, using a crafting process executed by the auspicious guidance of the onsite Bourbon Master, allowing guests to taste liquor aged in charred American oak wood barrels.
A must-have on the menu is the Secret Knock cocktail. Consisting of a refreshing combination of milk, green tea, whiskey and lemon juice, it is a modern twist on the classic Milk Punch Cocktail, a favourite of Founding Father Benjamin Franklin.
Located on the ground floor, Bank & Bourbon’s distinctive fusion of food and beverages creates a unique experience for guests blending together classic mid-century architecture with a comfortable, relaxed décor. Executive Chef Thomas Harkins has worked in some of the most prestigious kitchens in Philadelphia and boasts an eclectic menu that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and indulgent desserts.
