Rocky Mountaineer, the luxury tourist train company that offers four iconic routes in Western Canada and the US Southwest, has appointed KBC PR & Marketing as its UK public relations representative.
KBC will be responsible for securing coverage in top-tier consumer and travel trade media in the UK, with the aim of amplifying the Rocky Mountaineer brand and capitalising on continued pent-up consumer demand for long-haul travel and one-of-a-kind experiences.
Headquartered in Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer is the largest privately owned luxury rail company in the world. Its all-daylight journeys offer guests unforgettable experiences through the majestic Canadian Rockies, Colorado’s jagged river canyons and Utah’s red rocks, complete with delicious locally inspired cuisine, outstanding service and glass-dome coaches providing the best views of these spectacular backdrops.
“We are excited to begin working with KBC to inspire more UK guests to recognise Rocky Mountaineer as a must-do travel experience,” said Nicole Ford, Rocky Mountaineer’s Vice President – Communication, Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations. “KBC is the ideal partner for us thanks to its strong relationships and in-depth understanding of our rail routes and destinations.”
KBC has managed UK public relations for Destination British Columbia and the Utah Office of Tourism since 2015, and Travel Alberta since 2016. The agency will now add PR for Rocky Mountaineer to its client portfolio which also includes the Great American West, Explore Georgia, the Florida Keys & Key West and the U.S. Travel Association.
KBC Director of PR and Co-owner David Ezra commented: “Rocky Mountaineer is one of the world’s truly prestigious travel experiences and it is a great privilege to have the chance to work with such an iconic brand. There are clear synergies with our existing destination clients which will benefit all parties and we are looking forward to helping Rocky Mountaineer build on its success in the UK market.”
