Visitors to the Loews Annapolis can now enjoy uniquely Belgian flavours at the hotel’s new Baroak Cookhouse and Taproom, which opened 5 March 2015.
Inspired by the best taverns in Belgium and chef Teddy Folkman’s love of European cuisine, Baroak boasts one of the largest selections of Belgian craft beers in Annapolis, giving guests a diverse choice of tipple with a European edge.
This large range of Belgian beers complements Folkman’s signature dish. Winner of the ‘Best Mussels in D.C’ award for the last seven years, the chef will now be bringing his prize recipe of mussels and frites to Maryland, as well as a choice of stacked sandwiches and burgers.
Aptly named after Annapolis’ Baroque-style street grid, Baroak is a place for neighbours and tourists to gather together somewhere different – enhancing a welcoming atmosphere with its social tables and outdoor dining. The interior will exude a cool vibe with exposed brick and vintage furniture designed by contemporary restaurant design company, StreetSense.
Created as a European-style social hub with great food, even better beer and a casual atmosphere, Baroak at Loews Annapolis is definitely the place to go for a unique, friendly dining experience.
