Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Western Legends Roundup
From 20-25 August, the streets of the city of Kanab – better known as ‘Little Hollywood’ – are set to be filled with round-the-clock entertainment as the Western Legends Roundup returns for its 20th anniversary. Since the 1920s, over 200 movies have been filmed in the city’s backyard and during the festi-val, visitors can enjoy daily tours of classic western filming locations and numerous outdoor performances.
For an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime, during the festival, wannabe cowboys can take ride as a passenger in an authentic covered wagon as part of a Wagon Train Trek (20-23 August) travelling 60-miles through some of the most iconic Western scenery around, including sections of Grand Staircase-
Escalante National Monument. Don’t Miss – Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
While Utah’s Mighty 5® National Parks often steal the spotlight, state parks such as Coral Pink Sand Dunes should be on every Utah visitors bucket list. Celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2018, the park boasts breath-taking coral-hued sand dunes set amidst a backdrop of red sandstone cliffs. Estimated to be between 10-15,000 years old and shifting as much as 50 feet per year, the dunes are now a popular location for activities such as ATV rides, sand-boarding, fatbiking and hiking. Coral Pink ATV Tours (www.coralpinkatvtours.com) runs ATV excursions six days a week (Monday-Saturday). One-hour sessions are priced from $85 (around £60) for drivers and $35 (around £25) for passengers.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Lodging Opening in 2019: The former Four Seasons Inn Hotel is undergoing renovations and will reopen in 2019 as the
newest lodging property for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is the largest rescue and advocacy group for animals in the U.S., and is home to more than 1,600 animals, including dogs, cats, horses, bunnies, birds, pigs, mules, goats and sheep.
