Noting a growth in demand for smaller, more personal group tours to the USA, Hayes & Jarvis has introduced ‘American Experiences’, a new collection of escorted touring holidays operated by specialist TourMappers.
The ‘American Experiences’ programme offers new and unique touring experiences that aim to showcase the broad variety of American culture, individuality and idiosyncrasies – all while visiting magnificent sites along the way.
Each tour gives travellers the opportunity to tailor-make their holiday experience by allowing them to choose their preferred activities, attractions and dining in each destination. Customers also have the option to add on pre- and post-tours to the main holiday package to increase the length of their USA adventure.
On the ‘Pacific Northwest Peaks & Pours’ tour, unique experiences include a Portland Bicycle Brewery Tour and the Eugene Ale Trail, while on the ‘Great Lakes Explorer: Music, Malt and Magical Mackinac’ itinerary, holidaymakers can choose between a Chicago Sin & Suds walking tour or City Segway tour and later opt to explore Mackinac Island by either bicycle or horse and carriage ride.
Further south, on the ‘A Taste of Texas & The Two-Step’ programme, travellers can enjoy active experiences including trail rides, roping or clay shooting lessons at Beaumont Ranch and also take a visit to the Stockyards Cattle Drive and Championship Rodeo. By contrast, the itinerary for ‘A Southern Story: Sounds & Specialities’ focuses on offering American enthusiasts a choice between culinary, historic and musical activities ranging from a Memphis Food Tour, a visit to the Gibson Guitar Factory, a Country Music Stars’ Homes Driving Tour and a trip to the Belle Meade Plantation.
Tour prices include all flights, accommodation, transportation and most activity costs. All tours include transportation in comfortable, air-conditioned small coaches, sprinters or new bucket-seat vans depending on the group size.
Hayes & Jarvis’ USA Product Manager, Jessica Jackson comments: “We are excited to be able to offer our customers access to the diverse range of exciting activities and adventures featured in TourMappers’ new ‘American Experiences’ collection and are confident that the tailor-made tour format will support our exciting USA product offering and help to fill a gap in the market for smaller escorted tour group itineraries.”
