by | Jun 2, 2014 | Press Releases

World-famous producer and DJ David Guetta will headline a unique concert amid the volcanos of the Azores on Wednesday 18 July 2014.

The concert will take place at the beautiful lagoon of Sete Cidades on Sao Miguel Island, a breathtakingly-large crater lake, which is a Natural Wonder of Portugal and one of the main landmarks of the subtropical archipelago in the heart of the Atlantic.

Announced on YouTube by David Guetta himself, the internationally-famed DJ and producer will be joined by international, national and local DJs and entertainers for the “Azores @ Night” concert, part of Azores Green Fest, which will run across 18-19 July 2014 to celebrate the importance of conserving the Azores’ unique environment. Other entertainers performing at the concert include Brazilian duo Felguk, Portugal’s DJ Eddie Ferrer and DJ Rusty, and local DJ Andre’ N ft. Marina.

Those looking to connect with nature in the Azores will be pleased hear that activities for Azores Green Fest on 19July will focus on well-being, including massages, yoga, tai chi and meditation. Other activities include educational conferences, workshops and theatre productions on the importance of maintaining the Azores’ unspoilt and award-winning environment.

While on the island, visitors may also choose to visit protected wildlife in their natural habitats, as activities available include some of the best whale watching and swimming with dolphins in the world. Other active pursuits such as cycling, hiking, paragliding and kayaking can also be arranged.
