KBC Events: Two Bands, One Governor and a Wine Expert

KBC are known for seamless event management. Our bespoke planning services allow your events to take shape without any of the stress of being behind-the-scenes. Our team of creatives develop unique concepts for all sizes of budget, that align with your brand goals and objectives.

We developed an integrated campaign concept for Virginia Tourism Corporation to celebrate the opening of The Birthplace of Country Music Museum and mark the 40th anniversary of The Carter Family Fold. As Virginia is known for its unique music heritage and award-winning viticulture, KBC used their passion for all things Virginia to bring to life the ‘Two Bands, One Governor and a Wine Expert’ concept.

Our Approach.

To raise awareness of Virginia’s unique musical heritage, KBC hosted an exclusive live music event for Virginia Tourism Corporation. Travel trade and media guests were invited to see performances from The Virginia Luthiers and The Church Sisters; who were flown to the UK to take part in the campaign, and sample food and drink inspired by Virginia.

KBC also facilitated a series of broadcast interviews for Governor McAuliffe and his VIP guest; wine expert, Oz Clarke. These interviews were syndicated in print, online, via specially created video content as well as on live radio. They offered profiling opportunities for the Governor as well as publicity for The Birthplace of Country Music Museum and the Carter Family Fold. KBC also secured performance and interview slots for The Virginia Luthiers on BBC Radio 2’s The Country Show with Bob Harris.
