kbc and Travel Alberta partnered with Captivate Digital Media to create a digital marketing campaign to promote the cities, culture and winter adventures found in Alberta. Targeting the millennial UK traveller, the influencer campaign aimed to encourage people to visit Alberta during the shoulder season.

Four bloggers travelled to Alberta and shared their experiences on social media through real-time posts, alongside follow-up blogs and video content. The campaign was also amplified with other members of the Captivate digital influencer team sharing the campaign message across social media during the project.

Throughout the four individual campaign trips the influencers published engaging social media updates to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. They also tagged and interacted with destination partners during the trip.

Each blogger visited a different region in the destination including Calgary, Edmonton, Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise. The posts highlighted a broad range of activities and experiences in Alberta through posts, photos and video clips and successfully inspired readers to book a holiday to Alberta.
