Jazz lovers can enjoy performances from legendary artists such as Grammy Award-winning composer Randy Newman in stunning surroundings at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, which will be held from 3-12 June 2016 in the New England state of Vermont.
Considered one of the “most brilliant composers and songwriters of this generation” by Rolling Stone magazine, Newman’s Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award-winning classics include the soundtracks for Disney’s Toy Story films, most famously the song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me”. He will perform on Friday, 3 June from 8 p.m. – 9.30 p.m.
Burlington is the largest city in Vermont and is a vibrant, sophisticated place for tourists to visit thanks to its world-class dining, emerging brewery scene, eclectic shopping options, arts and entertainment venues, and its idyllic location nestled between Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains.
Burlington is located on Lake Champlain and visitors can explore the 200 miles of beautiful coastline, set against an incredible mountainous backdrop, in a number of ways; by boat, by foot, by car, by bike or by kayak. Visitors can also explore the lush Green Mountains, just over an hour away from Burlington, with their abundance of spectacular cycling and hiking routes or take a 30-minute drive to the town of Waterbury to taste flavours past and present at the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory.
