Client: Capital Region USA

Task: To promote the movie Lincoln starring Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field, and through that promote the history of the Capital Region and Lincoln’s legacy there, the “100% filmed in Virginia” message and the new Lincoln Movie Trail as a tourist attraction.

Implementation: Group press trip, individual media visits, press releases, social media promotions: a Facebook competition was suggested and co-ordinated by KBC at no cost. KBC proactively approached Fox Studios to secure spaces for 19 media at three separate private screenings.

Results: 43 articles in total. 22 print articles including major national newspaper coverage in The Daily Telegraph, Mail on Sunday, The Express and The Independent, magazines and regional newspapers. 21 online features including blogs and online publications. 41 entries on a Facebook competition. Numerous press release pick ups and image requests in other titles such as Group Leisure Magazine, Metro and Good Housekeeping
