Freedom Leisure is pleased to be launching Bounce and Roll, a new fun activity for children under five years old on 26th April. The new Bounce and Roll sessions run from 9:30 – 11:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during term time and cost £3 per child.

Dave Downey, Community Sports Development Officer for Freedom Leisure at K2 Crawley said, “This is a great programme for children not yet at school. Freedom Leisure has invested in a new range of equipment, which will not only provide opportunities to develop early learning and motor skills such as balance and agility, but also encourage social development and keeping active, all whilst having fun in a safe and friendly environment”.

With a 2010 NHS survey showing that one in four children were obese or over weight by the time they started school childhood obesity at the forefront of many parents’ minds. The new Bounce and Roll sessions at K2 Crawley are an effective way to give children an active start and provide them with important tools to help tackle obesity in the long term.

Together with Freedom Leisure’s ongoing commitment to the government’s Change4Life campaign, which champions healthily habits and behaviours, and the Trust’s investment in Bounce and Roll pre-school children will be able to develop healthy life skills, whilst using a bouncy castle, ride-on-cars, soft play toys, books, puzzles and art tables. For children and their parents this is a great opportunity to interact with others, to have fun and encourage children to get active from an early age. With the leisure pool, café and other facilities at the Leisure Centre parents can have a full morning of fun with their young children.
